Disproportionate, Doll-Like Head
Toy breeds such as chihuahuas, French bulldogs, and Boston terriers generally have heads that are much larger than they should be in relation to the size of the rest of their body. This can lead to them not being able to sustain the weight of their own head as well as causing a disease called chiari where the cerebellum does not have enough resistance to stop the rest of the brain from crushing it. This disease causes chronic pain. |
